Q: How do I collect the coupons in the mall?
Q: How do I register as a persona to chat and be eligible for coupons? A:
1) From VirtualEShopping.com you click the “Register” button on
the top right under the login and password fields. 2)
Then you complete the registration form (if you do not have a form
appear please change your settings to allow for pop-ups from
VirtualEShopping.com. See How do I disable my popup blocker for
more information) 3) Next a login conformation email will be sent to the address entered upon registration, click the link in the email to be directed to your completed registration with VirtualEShopping.com. If you do not receive an email within 5 minutes please check your spam filter then contact support@virtualeshopping.com.
Q: Do I need to give my name and other personal information to use the site? A: No. You can enter any mall as many times as you like without entering any personal information on the site. However, if you want to be able to gather coupons that our advertisers offer or create a persona to chat, you will need to register. (How do I register as a persona?)
Q: I tried to register but I never received an email with the password. A: The two things that are the most likely to have happened are: 1) the email with your pw may have been caught in your spam filter. 2) You may have mis-entered your email address, in which case the pw would have gone to another address. Please check this if you still do not see it, send an email with your name and email address to support@virtualeshopping.com. We will then be able to verify your login and password and allow you to access your account. Q: I forgot my login and/or password. How do I find it?
A: The “forgot password” link is on virtualeshopping.com page next to the login field. Enter your email address you used to complete your registration and your login and password will be emailed to you. If unable to access through that page please contact the Technical Support team at support@virtualeshopping.com.
Q: The mall is in 3D but are the stores? A: The current model includes a 3-dimentional environment for the VirtualEShopping Mall. We are in various stages of negotiation with retailers interested in displaying their products/services in 3D stores accesses through our VirtualEShopping interface. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming additions.
Q: Can I meet my friends in the Mall? A: Meet your friends in the mall and add them to your friends list. If you would like to set a date to meet in the mall you may do so from your shopper profile page. In your friends list section you can click “invite more friends” and from that screen you select the “Schedule a Shopping Date” tab and enter their name to select the friend you will send the mall invite to. If they are not already a registered user of VirtualEShopping.com please see: “How can I invite my friends to create a shopper profile page?”
Q: I registered for the shopper page do I need to register for the mall too? A: When you register on the homepage you are registered for both the shopper pages and the 3D mall using the same user ID and password. Q: The background noise in the mall is too loud. How do I turn it down? A: You can edit the audio function in the mall by clicking on the options icon and then selecting or deselecting the checkbox "Turn off Background Audio" under Audio Settings.
Q: How do I change the features of my persona? A: Click on the persona
button in the toolbar on the right to open the Persona Creator. This
will allow you to display your profile information to other users
and add additional personal information, create a screen name, choose
a gender, and add physical attributes for your persona such as face,
skin color, hair color, and clothing.

Q: How can I change my view of the mall from first person to second person? A: You can see the back of your persona as you travel through the mall by clicking on the F1 button on your keyboard. Press the Delete or End key to see a 360 degree view of your persona in the mall.
Q: How do I chat with another persona I see in the mall once I am a registered user? A: You can initiate a chat with another registered persona you see in the mall by clicking the chat icon, then clicking on that personas screen name in the Personas box on the right.
Q: How do I add someone to my Friends List? A: The persona must be a registered user and in the mall at the time you make them a friend. From the chat icon you can select the name of the Persona from the list to the right that you would like to add as a friend. Then click the invite button in your chat dialogue box.
Q: What happens if I change my display name after someone has already added me as a friend? A: If you change your name in the Registration or Persona sections then you will no longer show up on the Friends List of the individuals in the mall who had previously added you as a friend. Simply click the friend name to re-add your friend to your list. Q: What do I do if I am being harassed in the mall by another shopper? A: As a family friendly VirtualEShopping Mall the safety and comfort of our shoppers is very important to us. Please report any harassment or misconduct to support@virtualeshopping.com immediately! Enter the word "Harassment" in the subject line and include your Name, User ID, the Name and User ID of the offending party, and a description or chat log of the incident.
Q: How do I navigate around the mall? A: You can navigate by using your arrow keys on your keyboard and your mouse's right and left click functions to move and explore the VirtualEShopping Mall. You can also use the Map or Directory button on the left toolbar to identify and be teleported to your desired store.
Q: How do I find a particular retailer in the Mall? A: From the Mall you may either click on the Map or Search button on the vertical toolbar on the left to identify and be teleported to your desired store. The Map icon identifies you as a red square in the mall. If you use your mouse to hover over the blue areas of the mall the names of the store that resides at that location will appear. If you right click you will be given the option to teleport to that location. The Search icon allows you to search for a particular store alphabetically and view the category to which the store belongs.

A: When you are looking at a storefront/cart/billboard/kiosk you will able to see a variety of interactive elements including audio, video, slideshows and linked images. The logo and double doors will take you to that retailer's 2-Dimentional Website. The interactive elements will take you to that particular item's landing page. Right clicking will bring up a dialogue box with additional information about the store or product including promotional information. You can also click the Storebot. (See “What is a Storebot?”)

Q: What are the personas doing standing in front of the storefronts/carts? A: The stationary personas in the carts and in front of the storefronts are Storebots. They may have a coupon, audio file, or take you to the 2D store website. Right click on them to initiate these functions or left click for additional information on the store or products.
Q: What is an interactive element? A: An image, slideshow, audio file, or video that you can either left or right click to access. When you are looking at a storefront/cart/billboard/kiosk you will able to see a variety of interactive elements including audio, video, slideshows and linked images. Q: What do the ramps in wings A and C do? A: These ramps allow you to ascend or descend to and from the second floor. To go up or down simply position your persona directly in front of the opening and press your forward arrow key. You may also use the horizontal glass bridge that connects the top floors of wings A and C to move from one side to the other. up

Q: How do I get on the stages? A: Both stages are unavailable to mall patrons at this time. They are for authorized VirtualEshopping Personnel only. Platforms however are available and can be accessed by directing your persona with the arrow keys on your keyboard.
Q: How do I find the coupons in the mall? A:
You need to become a registered persona in order to collect and
redeem coupons from our stores in the mall. If you are not, please see
“How do I register as a persona personalize, chat, and be
eligible for coupons?” The coupons are identified by a barcode icon
that appears when you hover with your mouse over an interactive
element (See
“What is an interactive element?”) Once
registered you can click on any coupon on any
storefront/cart/billboard/Storebot and choose the option to add it to
your "coupon clipper." You can then re-enter the coupon
window to redeem by clicking the coupon button.
